You're not still listening to radio, are you? If you are, consider this your invitation to the twenty-first century. Radio is out, and MP3 blogs are in. Relaxed media consolidation laws have allowed a handful of corporate broadcasting megaliths to absorb all but a handful of the independent radio stations. As expected, incorporation has begotten homogenization: record labels and broadcasting companies develop radio playlists jointly, ensuring that independent and local acts receive less and less airplay so the music industry's stars du jour can enjoy non-stop rotation. Well, in the immortal words of heavy metal icons Twisted Sister, "We're not gonna take it!" The blogosphere has generated a response to corporate radio: the MP3 blog.Audiophiles, eccentrics and rebels of all stripes are streaming hi-fidelity audio from their blogs, offering an alternative to increasingly bland broadcast media. Among the feeds below you'll find MP3 blogs specializing in classic jazz, underground hip-hop, indie rock and global pop. In other words, sites dedicated to musical genres you'd be hard pressed to hear on commercial radio. The revolution may not be televised, but you can hear it in streaming audio. NOTE: Despite our best attempts to avoid such feeds, some listed below may illegally host audio files. This is not condoned nor approved of in any way by Top 10 Sources.Related Top 10 Sources: Alternative Rock | Hip Hop | New Music | Latin Music | Jazz

It's finally here! The video you've been waiting for since yesterday, when first we were teased by the sartorial splendor that is the Coldplant. The clip, shot on location in Italy, has a few closely related conceits running through it: there's the part where the band's walking up a (violet!) hill, the part where they're...

Imaad Wasif - Oceanic. I know that some people hate it when I talk about the weather, but I think it's important. To me, a song's strength is dependent on where I am when I listen to it, and what activities I associate it with. So as today takes a sharp jump on the thermometer, I find myself enjoying this slow burner from...

Well sure, it's not exactly her "Cobrastyle." But turning up for estrogen hour at ABC studios with the suited Teddybears themselves indicates she's got clearance to do with it as she pleases. This morning, as a few weeks ago on Letterman, that meant bringing her big-headed Swedish buddies along to the TV studio and doing her...

Norman Palm did those slowed-down folksy takes on "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "Boys Don't Cry" that we posted about last year. Taking a break from the '80s love, the Berlin singer-songwriter is back with a song of his own, "Falling," produced by Jonas Verwijnen (Whitest Boy Alive, Annie, etc). Unlike what we've heard...

Shearwater hooked us into their new material with the lovely, melancholic, horn-threaded, feather-and-ambulance-themed lead track "Rooks" and now they've got us with the "Rooks" b-side as well. Surprise: It's a cover of Talk Talk's Spirit Of Edem opening epic, "The Rainbow." Jonathan Meiburg & Co. keep it expansive and...

While you were waiting for the Strokes to get bored of looking cool with no place to go, Albert Hammond, Jr. has put together his second solo record. It was recorded in a studio you will never afford (Electric Lady) with friends more privileged than you will ever have (Sean Lennon) and if it's anywhere near as good as his...

For better or for worse (ok, mostly worse), tracks from Weezer's LP6 are swishing around the web. This could explain why Interscope has pushed up the album's release date a few weeks, from 6/24 to 6/3. Or maybe it's just because you guys have pretty much hated what you've heard so far. Anyway, when we posted up that last...
